Everest College today announced the addition of the accounting associate degree program to its Dallas and Arlington (Mid Cities) campuses. The schools began enrolling students in the program in October 2011, and the program is designed to teach students accounting fundamentals and how to apply them in a real-world business environment.
“We offer a degree program that goes beyond the traditional way of thinking for accounting,” said President Chris Peters of Everest College – Dallas. “We prepare our students to be business leaders who can deliver not only traditional accounting results, but also help businesses stay efficient and manage their futures.”
The accounting associate degree program is a two-year program that consists of coursework in principles of accounting, introductory cost/managerial accounting, corporate accounting, payroll accounting, non-profit accounting, tax accounting, business communications and business law. Graduates can obtain careers as accounting assistants, accounting clerks, bookkeepers and more.
